Advanced Forging Capabilities at Tiptop Forging
As a professional manufacturer specializing in large and medium-sized forgings, Tiptop Forging is equipped with advanced open die forging equipment and comprehensive testing facilities.
Our production capabilities allow us to deliver high-quality forged components for critical industrial applications across power generation, shipbuilding, petrochemical, metallurgy, and heavy machinery industries.
Large-Scale Open Die Forging Equipment
Our main forging equipment includes:
One 12,000-ton hydraulic open die forging press with a 130-ton fully hydraulic manipulator
One 4,000-ton hydraulic open die forging press with a 35-ton manipulator
These presses can forge ingots up to 100 tons for upsetting (short shafts, blocks, discs) and 150 tons for elongation (long shafts and slender bars).
We also operate a range of forging cranes and transfer systems for heavy material handling:
160T/32T forging crane
100T/50T and 100T/20T transport cranes
80T/20T and 50T/10T forging cranes
32T/10T heat treatment crane
This comprehensive setup ensures that every forging process — from heating, forming, cooling, to inspection — is carried out safely and in strict compliance with industrial standards.
High Capacity for Large and Heavy Forgings
With these facilities, Tiptop Forging can produce a wide variety of large open die forgings, including:
Shaft forgings up to 20 meters long (held and forged at both ends)
Disc and ring forgings up to 5 meters in diameter
Hollow shell forgings up to 9 meters long (forged with mandrel piercing and elongation)
Our annual production capacity reaches 120,000 tons of high-quality forgings.
These products are widely used in hydropower, thermal power, turbines, generators, industrial compressors, pressure vessels, shipbuilding, petrochemical, and metallurgical equipment.
Strict Quality Control and Testing Capabilities
To ensure every product meets or exceeds the technical standards and customer requirements, we have established a specialized physical and chemical testing center equipped with advanced inspection instruments:
MTS 300KN electronic universal testing machine
300J low-temperature impact testing machine (fully computer-controlled)
Digital ultrasonic flaw detectors (2 units)
Magnetic particle inspection and penetrant testing equipment
German-imported optical emission spectrometer (OES) capable of analyzing 26 elements, including C, Si, Mn, S, P, Cr, Ni, and Mo
Metallographic microscopes and complete sample preparation systems
These advanced inspection tools guarantee that all forged products meet international material standards and customer specifications.
Reliable Material Selection and Traceability
We strictly control the sourcing of raw materials.
All forgings are made from high-quality steel ingots supplied by well-known domestic steelmakers using electric furnace smelting + ladle refining + vacuum degassing technology.
For special-grade products, we use double vacuum or electroslag remelting ingots, ensuring excellent purity, uniformity, and structural integrity.
Commitment to Quality and Innovation
From raw material inspection to final ultrasonic testing, every step of our forging process follows a rigorous quality management system.
Our continuous investment in advanced forging and testing equipment allows us to produce large, reliable, and high-performance forgings trusted by industries worldwide.
